What this role is about

This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional.

It’s not a sales role. You won’t be chasing leads, pitching to clients, or writing bids from scratch.

You’ll support the sales team behind the scenes:

Coordinating site visits for the business development team

Chasing inputs and managing timelines

Formatting submissions and editing copy

Proofing for typos and refining layout

Making sure every proposal reads well and looks great

Sales leads the story. You help make sure it lands.

If you’re organised, good with words, and have an eye for layout and flow, this is a role where you’ll make a real difference.

You don’t need a background in bids. You might be a recent graduate or early-career professional with experience in marketing, business management, communications, copywriting, publishing, or something else entirely.

If you like making things clear, presentable, and persuasive, this could be a great fit. The role offers exposure to multiple parts of the business, with the opportunity to work directly with senior stakeholders and consultants.

What you’ll do

Support the process

Coordinate the proposal process and keep everything on track

Manage timelines and actions, and ensure everyone knows what’s needed

Arrange site visits for sales and operational teams

Chase and coordinate inputs from supply partners when required

Keep Salesforce updated with accurate opportunity and bid-stage details (training provided)

Help shape content

Support the Business Development Managers in producing proposals that look as good as they read

Collaborate with the BD team and Bid Consultant to review RFPs and develop tailored responses

Source and adapt content from previous submissions

Edit and proof responses to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with client needs

Help shape the overall messaging to reflect win themes and client priorities

Raise the bar on presentation

Format documents using Word, PowerPoint, InDesign, Canva or similar tools

Keep templates clean, professional, and consistent

Liaise with freelance designers when needed

Support marketing and storytelling

Share stories, photos, and highlights with our marketing agency

Chase internal contributors for case study material and updates

Help maintain a growing library of case studies and proof points

Keep things organised

Maintain a library of past responses, templates, and reusable content

Track bid outcomes and help the team learn from feedback

What we’re looking for

Clear and confident written communicator

Highly organised and dependable

Comfortable managing timelines and nudging others when needed (with full support from the CEO)

Strong attention to detail and pride in quality

Familiar with tools like Word, PowerPoint, Canva, Figma, InDesign (or quick to learn)

Background in sales support, bids, marketing, copywriting, publishing, or similar

Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce (or willing to learn)

What this role is not

You won’t be selling or presenting to clients

You won’t be building pricing or commercial strategy

You won’t be writing from a blank page. Sales owns the narrative

You won’t be leading site visits or owning the pitch

What success looks like

Every proposal submitted on time

Clear, consistent bid documents with minimal rework

CRM kept accurate and up to date (Salesforce)

A growing library of reusable content and case studies

Positive feedback from sales and marketing on your reliability and quality
