Purpose:

To work in McGill and Partners Technology department contributing towards MGP's digital assets against cyber threats and ensuring the security of MGP data and services. To provide comprehensive experience across various information security, risk, and compliance activities, fostering career growth and knowledge development.

Responsibilities:

  • Security Operations:
  • Respond to security alerts and events.
  • Conduct security investigations.
  • Create and maintain security playbooks.
  • Project Support:
  • Assist with security and technology projects.
  • Audits & Compliance:
  • Support information security related audits.
  • Assist with third-party supplier audits.
  • Analyse results from third-party security questionnaires and audits.
  • Vulnerability Management:
  • Conduct vulnerability scans on MGP assets.
  • Report findings to relevant teams for remediation.
  • System Hardening:
  • Collaborate with the wider Technology team to ensure endpoints and systems are appropriately secured and hardened.
  • Reporting:
  • Assist in generating metrics and reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Skills and Experience:

  • At least two years of experience in Technology or Security.
  • Demonstrated keen interest in cyber security.
  • Experience working with Microsoft technologies within a corporate environment (e.g., Microsoft 365).
  • Google Cybersecurity Certificate (desired, not mandatory)
  • CompTIA Security+ (desired, not mandatory)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A curious and investigative mindset, essential for cyber security.
  • Detail-focused with the ability to follow processes in a controlled environment.
  • Good collaboration, relationship building, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize competing workloads.
  • Strong aptitude, positive attitude, and a desire to learn and grow in the cyber security field.
