The Role

You will be a part of the team that is focused on Network Delivery and Capacity Management within the area of Network Deployment. Focussing on multiple hardware platforms across euNetworks footprint.

The position requires good technical understanding of telecoms architecture, data analytics and good project management skills.

You will be required to effectively manage equipment stock and logistics processes with external suppliers. You will be responsible for refill purchases, maintenance and logistics and staging procedures and managing the respective suppliers (purchase orders, quantity updates and invoice validation)

 

What will you be doing?

  • Plan the equipment production stocks of active network equipment for our telecommunications network in order to provide customer services, including the extensive use of WDM and IP/MPLS technologies.
  • Manage purchase orders to proactively refill equipment and licenses to the production stock and to support large customer deliveries
  • Support Procurement with supplier maintenance contract demands and regularly report inventory quantities (True-up, true-down)
  • Manage resources and services requested from storage, staging and logistics suppliers. Raise purchase orders and validate invoices.
  • Establish and maintain internal processes required to effectively work with these suppliers. Attend service review meetings to monitor quality.
  • Liaise with Architecture and Capacity Management to maintain inventory and license reorder thresholds.
  • Working with IT to ensure data integrity of equipment and license stocks and to achieve data consistency with the supplier managed inventories

 

Team structure: You will receive guidance from the Head of Network Planning. The Inventory and Logistics team is part of the Network Planning & Deployment team, including Project Deployments, Service Planning, Capacity Management and Optimisation functions.

 

What do we want from you?

  • Experience in Long-Haul DWDM networks and installation techniques, including experience with the platforms of at least one of Ciena, Infinera, Nokia and Adtran
  • Good written and verbal English (and German) communications skills. Proactive thinking and good analytical skills
  • Good understanding and experience of processes preferable in the Telecommunications industry
  • Ability to work in international teams across geographical boundaries and borders.
  • Demonstrated skills in collaboration and resilience to stress
  • Understanding of standard and bespoke designs and application of those
  • Self - starter, independent judgment, business partner and team player
  • Supplier Management Skills
  • The ability to work with cross - functional teams, and effective communication skills to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and management
