Led by experienced animation tutors and supported by A Productions, the bootcamp focuses on the core principles of animation, studio-standard workflows, and employability.
Participants will complete a series of structured projects designed to replicate real-world animation production, with personalised feedback to help refine and strengthen their work.
You will also gain valuable insight into working within a production pipeline, develop portfolio-ready work, and receive guidance to help you identify your ideal role within the animation industry.
What will you learn?
As part of the programme, you’ll take on a live shadowing project, replicating shots from a brand-new animated TV series produced by A Productions for Terrific Television. You’ll follow real studio workflows and gain insight into how professional episodes are created — a unique opportunity to align your skills with industry expectations.
Core Focus Areas include:
- 3D Animation – including posing, weight, timing, acting
- Shot Planning – interpreting a creative brief and planning shots
- Animation Workflow – blocking, splining, and polishing techniques
- Feedback Cycles – how to effectively take on and implement professional notes
- Teamwork and Pipelines – simulating collaboration within a remote studio environment
- Showreel Development – producing portfolio assets that reflect industry standards

You must:
- Live in (or plan to work in) the West of England Combined Authority region (Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, or North Somerset)
- Have the right to work in the UK
