The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the European Product Legal team on various projects and tasks associated with the structuring, development and execution of new products and the maintenance and optimisation of existing product offerings including Irish and Jersey domiciled ETC products and Irish UCITS.
Key Accountabilities and Scope
Product Launches
Structuring, development and/or execution of new products and ensuring a coordinated approach to launch, considering the various requirements across all aspects of the business, covering a large range of asset classes including commodities, FX and digital assets.
Product launch process covering Irish domiciled UCITS compliant funds as well as Jersey and Irish registered exchange traded commodity issuers.
Liaising internally with other departments within the firm (product development and operations, sales, marketing, legal, compliance, capital markets and finance) and externally with main service providers (investment managers, administrators, external counsel, accountants etc) to ensure products are structured and launched in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner and that products take into account the needs of investors, various stakeholders within the business and regulatory requirements within the relevant market(s).
Interaction with regulators, external counsel and exchanges in connection with the issue and listing of new products.
Drafting of UCITS compliant fund documentation and Prospectus Regulation compliant offering documents.
Negotiation of key product documentation and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Registration and listing of new funds and preparation of all relevant documentation including listing applications and KIIDs and coordinating the process with external advisors.
Assistance with preparation of marketing collateral, RFP responses and responses to other client queries.
Product Maintenance -Assist on the maintenance of existing European products, including:
As required, work on updates to ETF fund documentation and annual updates of ETC prospectuses.
Ensuring the ongoing regulatory/documentation compliance for all ETF products, including meeting the relevant listing/registration requirements and implementing any required changes
Ensuring the equivalent regulatory requirements are met for the ETC platform
Address various ETF and ETC product structural issues and queries as they may arise from time to time.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years PQE legal experience in financial services sector although consideration will be given to quality of experience rather than pure duration.
Previous in-house experience preferred but not essential.
Experience working on various fund structures and familiar with related rules, issues and considerations.
Must have strong project management experience and the ability to manage a busy workload.
Must have knowledge of and interest in financial services, preferably gained in the asset management or investment management industry.
Must have strong commercial awareness.
Must have excellent communication, persuasive and negotiation skills underpinned by a high level of attention to detail and organisational ability.
Must work well in a team and be able to win the confidence of colleagues and others.
Must be able to manage own workload and multi-task effectively and have a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
