Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of automated tests and integrate them into the CI/CD pipeline to support functional, integration, regression, and performance testing
- Design, build, and maintain web and backend test automation frameworks
- Identify, analyse, and document defects, functional discrepancies, UI issues, and data inconsistencies.
- Partner with cross-functional development teams to share testing insights and drive continuous product quality improvements.
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, fostering best practices and supporting their professional growth.
Skills Knowledge & Expertise
- Define & Drive Test Strategy: Craft comprehensive test approaches, develop detailed plans and test cases, interpret outcomes, and collaborate with stakeholders to guarantee release readiness.
- Execute End-to-End Testing: Lead both functional (integration, UI, regression, REST/GraphQL API) and non-functional (load, performance, security) test efforts.
- Build & Scale Automation: Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright, Mocha, K6, Postman.
- Leverage Modern Tech Stacks: Write clean, maintainable test code and custom validation scripts in TypeScript and Node.js.
- Own Containerised Environments: Develop and manage Docker-based test infrastructures—including Dockerfiles, docker-compose, and TestContainers setups.
- Champion CI/CD & Shift-Left: Integrate tests into CircleCI pipelines, advocate for early testing in the development lifecycle, and accelerate feedback loops.
