The Administrator will be responsible for being the lead point of contact for the Administration Team, ensuring that Service Level Agreements are met at a high level and that a client centric approach is taken in all communication and interactions with clients. The successful candidate will understand and appreciate the importance of relationship building and will have exceptional drive and determination as well as being methodical and hard working.  The role will include ‘leading from the front’ and the candidate should have the knowledge and ability to complete administrative tasks in support of the advice operation and to train and mentor other members of the team as required. Candidates will have impeccable written communication skills, very good attention to detail and a strong ability to multi-task and prioritise workload.
  • 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday - standard working hours 09:00 - 17:30 (16:00 Friday Finish) 

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Being a leader within the team, promoting a culture of collaboration, efficiency, and continuous improvement to achieve business targets.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitoring performance metrics to assess and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Problem Resolution: Addressing operational challenges promptly, providing solutions, and fostering a proactive problem-solving environment.
  • Stay Informed: Keep abreast of new product, technical, and legislative changes within the marketplace to ensure up-to-date knowledge.
  • Documentation Accuracy: Complete all documentation with precision and accuracy.
  • Performance Standards: Maintain performance standards in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
  • Mentorship and Training: Provide mentorship and training to the Administration Team, contributing to the development of their skills and knowledge.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Facilitating effective communication and collaboration between different departments to ensure seamless coordination and information flow.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements and standards.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Qualifications

Desirable: Chartered Insurance Institute or equivalent qualifications are highly desirable at diploma or advanced diploma level.

Experience

Essential:
Financial services experience.
Strong understanding of financial products, regulations, and market dynamics.
Implementation of pension applications and transactions

Desirable:
Experience in technical training of a Financial Services administration team and creating efficiencies using systems and processes.
Familiarity with major providers such as Aviva, Fidelity, L&G, Aegon, Standard Life and Prudential – to name a few.
