Job Description:

The Associate will be responsible for:

• Assisting in sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and closing of creative financing solutions including repurchase facilities, loan syndications, and securitizations

• Developing views on best financing strategies to inform investment decisions on real estate credit

• Presenting financing strategies in group meetings and internal committees

• Managing the oversight of ongoing financing positions of the BREDS Europe and Australia loan portfolio

• Maintaining strong relationships with our existing financing counterparties, and developing relationships with potential new financing counterparties

• Analyzing, modeling and presenting new strategic initiatives and business development opportunities for the BREDS capital markets business

• Working with wider capital markets teams to stay coordinated and maintain strong collaboration globally, and to develop and execute new financing strategies

• Supporting corporate-level capital markets transaction activity, including asset backed debt issuances

• Managing business risks and helping improve our processes and tools to create efficient access to financing data

• Facilitating the sourcing, evaluation and execution of loan purchases and other structured investments

• 4+ years of real estate investment, private equity investment banking and/or sales and trading experience

• Experience in mortgage/mezz, loan on loan, CMBS and/or loan pool financings • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to work independently as well as on a team and to work in a fast-paced professional environment and juggle multiple projects

• Strong work ethic, integrity and commitment to meet deadlines

• Self-starter, proactive, entrepreneurial, highly organized, and detail oriented

• Strong analytical aptitude and strategic problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling

• Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university
