Hybrid R&D Mechanical Engineer bei Rubberatkins

Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer ready to take on your next exciting challenge? We are looking for a driven, creative, and detail-oriented professional to help us shape the future of engineering solutions.

Based at our Aberdeen headquarters, you will play a key role in designing and developing innovative mechanical solutions that address real-world customer challenges. From concept through to manufacturing and in-house testing, you will manage projects end-to-end while maintaining high standards of documentation and quality.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing new mechanical products and systems
• Leading projects from initial concept through to completion
• Collaborating across teams to ensure seamless manufacturing and testing
• Applying creativity and technical expertise to solve complex engineering problems
• Documenting designs and processes to a high standard

What we are looking for

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
• Strong background in product development, with hands-on experience in design and FEA
• Must have oil and gas knowledge
• Passion for innovation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement
• Knowledge of design using rubber while advantageous, but not essential
• Experience working with elastomers is a plus, but not essential
