Overall Purpose of the Job
To provide architectural and support functions to the Exponential-E’s internal and external Network Management Systems. Carrying out daily duties and necessary tasks on ongoing projects and implement new ones, as defined by your Manager.
You will be a key part of the Network Management Systems team, your passion will contribute to Exponential-e continuous leading edge in the telecoms market. Working mainly with the Core Engineering, R&D, and DevOps Team, developing and maintaining software for cutting-edge technologies like SDN and SD-WAN.
Key responsibilities for this role
- Architecture, Design and Planning of all existing and new NMS systems, in order to support existing and new networks and services
- Install, configure and maintain all NMS systems
- Design, test, and validation of maintenance patches and minor code changes
- Daily administration and troubleshooting of Network Management Systems, and support all related applications
- Production of implementation and technical service documentation
- Provide support to the Customer Service teams
- Work in parallel with normal daily duties to deliver assigned projects
- Being able to provide out-of-hours support (24x7x365 rota)
- Deliver any other fair and reasonable task or duty assigned to you by your Manager
Primary requirements
- Existing SC clearance, or being able to obtain a new SC clearance
- SysAdmin on *nix production environments (RedHat, Centos, Ubuntu, etc)
- Network management principles, protocols and technologies
- Networking protocols and technologies
- Cloud technologies, VMWare vCenter
- SNMP, MIBs and related technologies
- DB servers (MySql, Postgre SQL, Cassandra) and SQL languages

- Nokia NSP/NFM-P systems
- Ansible
- Programming languages (advanced Python, C#)
- Kafka
- Jit, Rancid
- XML, JSON
- IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS), MPLS
