Salary: £25,584 - £27,269 per annum, pro rata (Pay award Pending)
Hours: 25 hours per week

Contract: Fixed - Fixed Term Contract to 31st August 2027

About the role:
The Children’s Centre Family Workers support the work the Children’s Centres do in improving outcomes for young children and their families, reducing inequalities, supporting families in greatest need in child development and school readiness, parenting aspirations, and parenting skills as well as child and family health and life chances.
You will achieve this through the delivery of a range of group-based support activities, focusing on the antenatal period onwards, including the delivery of evidence-based parenting, wellbeing and domestic abuse programmes, as well as through the provision of individual support. You will be confident and resourceful and keen to learn and develop new knowledge and skills.
As this is an entry level role, and we will support you to achieve a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area. Experience in volunteering or working with children and families would be an advantage.
You must hold a diving license and have access to a vehicle.
Because we are working with such vulnerable children and young people, workers would need to have sound knowledge and experience of safeguarding and working with vulnerable children and young people.
