Join our Data Engineering team a Site Reliability Engineer, responsible for designing, scaling, and maintaining the core infrastructure that supports QRT’s data pipelines. These systems underpin research, trading, and operational workflows across the firm. The team collaborates closely with platform, application, and research stakeholders to ensure our data systems are reliable, observable, and performant.
Your future role within QRT
- Work closely with engineering teams to enhance deployment tooling, improve observability, and ensure the platform meets the demands of a data-intensive trading environment
- Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure for data ingestion and processing
- Improve application deployment tooling and workflows to accelerate time to production
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, resolving incidents and increasing reliability
- Enhance observability by extending metrics, logging, and alerting coverage
- Collaborate with engineers across the business to ensure robust platform integration
Your present skillset
- Strong experience with a cloud provider (AWS preferred), using Terraform to manage infrastructure as code
- In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS) and its ecosystem, including Argo CD and Helm
- Comfortable reading and debugging Python code; familiarity with system architecture and DevOps toolchains
- Hands-on experience with Linux, Docker, monitoring and logging platforms, and general language build toolchains
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a small, close-knit team
- Fluent in English
