Summary:
The Program Assistant will work with the Program Manager for the School of International Service’s Graduate Education Office including the PhD Program. The Program Assistant will carry out administrative, communications, marketing, and event tasks. This includes developing newsletters, designing event promotional materials, and outreach to students for newsletter and web content.
Responsibilities:
Assist with marketing campaigns and website maintenance.
Conduct research and communications related to program alumni and their SIS experience.
Assist with data management including developing systems.
Assist with event logistics such as maintaining registration list, creating event assets, and/or supporting event setup/cleanup.
Use social media (primarily LinkedIn) to promote program and student experiences.
Other duties as determined by the Program Team.
Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work:
Part-Time.
10 hours per week.
The modality of this position is hybrid.
Though much of this role will be done in-office in the SIS building, the incumbent may be permitted to complete some tasks virtually based on the nature of the work.
Salary Range:
$17.95 - $18.50 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Currently enrolled AU student.
A Federal Work Study (FWS) award is required.
Strong written communication skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to work self-sufficiently on assigned tasks.
Graphic and web design skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience with Canva, Eventbrite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Canvas are strongly preferred.
Previous experience working at AU campus office.
