Compensation
$23.00 - $27.30
Non exempt grade 12

The salary range for this role is a good faith estimate, it is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid. All offers presented to candidates are carefully reviewed to ensure fair, equitable pay by offering competitive salaries that align with the individual's skills, education, experience, and training. The range may vary above or below the stated amounts.
What you’ll do
- Legal Research: Research legal and regulatory matters in the area of health and life insurance law, human resources, finance law and contract law, under the direction and guidance of in-house counsel.
- Document Preparation: Prepare factual summaries of complex legal matters for attorney review.
- Presentations and Meeting Attendance: Attend meetings with in-house counsel to develop a wide understanding of the company and assist in-house attorneys with presentations on a variety of regulatory and legal matters.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Ability to critically read and interpret documents, case law, statutes and regulations
- Effectively use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Skilled in communicating clearly and effectively, both in written and oral communication
- Able to organize and prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
- Skilled in legal research tools such as Westlaw, and other online resources.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
- Must comply with corporate code of conduct and corporate information security policies and procedures.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
What you need
- Enrollment in an accredited law school program with a strong academic record.
- Prior law clerk experience preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary desk work
- Required to use a computer up to 90% of the day.
- Occasional lifting boxes up to 25 lbs.
