Job Description:
The UPS Store, Inc. (TUPSS) Retail Operations Consultant works cross-functionally with other internal departments and provides direct support to The UPS Store field operations teams on projects and day-to-day in center operational concerns. They build relationships, provide training, coaching, and communication to field support team members to foster program adoption and support operational standards compliance while also enhancing customer experience and driving growth. The TUPSS Operations Consultant provides assistance with developing training and communications to stores on the use of new tools and changes to policies and procedures.
Location: This position is a flexible location. Candidate can be located anywhere in the domestic U.S to apply without having to relocate.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and implement action plans to drive growth in key products and services across franchise locations.
- Create, update, and maintain training materials for new programs, modified procedures, and operational updates to ensure consistent execution and understanding.
- Monitor program compliance through audits, performance reviews, and data analysis, identifying gaps and developing targeted action plans to address concerns.
- Identify gaps in processes or resources that hinder operational efficiency or program success, and design and implement improvements or tools to close those gaps.
- Prepare and present regular updates on strategic priorities, program performance, and project milestones, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational strategies with company goals and ensure seamless execution across departments.
- Support change management efforts by communicating updates, training teams, and reinforcing adoption of new initiatives.
- Analyze performance metrics and customer feedback to inform operational decisions and enhance service delivery.
- Serves as a subject matter expert and resource for franchisees, Franchise Consultants, Operations Managers, and Area Franchisees, providing guidance and support on operational best practices.
- Identifies and addresses operational and financial issues impacting franchisee success. Ensures franchisee adherence to policies, procedures, and brand standards.
- Develops professional skills through company and industry-related resources, including on-site training, bi-annual conventions, regional meetings, industry association events, and sponsored training opportunities.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
5+ years of experience in Restaurant or Retail Operations, Franchising, Business Consulting, or a related field
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES

- Understands franchise structures and relationships, franchise products and services, and their impact on corporate profitability. Comprehends royalty streams from Franchisee to Area Franchisee to Franchisor.

- Maintains and applies a broad understanding of financial management principles.
- Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effectively and confidently uses digital tools and technologies to efficiently analyze, manage and share data.
- Willing and able to travel as required.
- Operates independently with minimal supervision.
- Displays dedication to ongoing learning and enhancing knowledge and expertise.
- Demonstrates strong time management skills, establishes project goals and objectives, meets deadlines, and ensures quality expectations.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
