A Day in the Life

The Core Surgical Innovations Marketing (CISM) team at Medtronic is seeking a results-driven and innovative Senior Web Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will enhance the digital presence of the Medical Surgical portfolio by driving user-centered experience across our web platforms.  You will be responsible for the design, build, and optimization of web experiences that engage, convert, and build brand credibility. You will collaborate closely with extended CSIM team, product marketing, IT and analytics teams to bring modern, intuitive, and high-performing web experiences to life.

As a Senior Web Marketing Specialist, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining Medtronic’s digital footprint. Your expertise will ensure our website infrastructure is optimized for external audiences. You’ll collaborate across teams to drive visibility, usability, and optimization of our online presence while staying ahead of industry trends.

You will approach all of this with a global, “customer first” mindset, with content reusability top of mind always.

Remote

This position is remote to enhance our competitive edge and expand our cross-functional collaboration efforts. This role will require approximately 20% travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities will include the following as well as other duties as assigned.

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, configure, and maintain Medical Surgical Portfolio website pages for external communication.

  • Ensure that the web pages are always accessible and functional by maintaining proper links.

  • Assess, optimize, and report on website usage.

  • Design web page layouts, graphics, color schemes, and infrastructure to maintain a cohesive look and feel aligned with organizational communication strategies.

  • Revise and test website content, including layout, graphics, color schemes, and navigation, to support brand optimization.

  • Integrate website functionality with marketing automation platforms to support lead generation, nurturing, and campaign execution.

  • Work with external agencies and vendors to support web marketing initiatives and ensure timely and effective delivery of projects.

  • Train and mentor junior web marketing team members, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles.

This role is primarily an individual contributor with professional responsibilities. You’ll manage projects and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve results. While delivering results independently, you may provide guidance and coaching to other team members. 

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or Advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.  Relevant experience is defined as web development, analytics and/or digital marketing

  • Must have Adobe Experience Manager or Web Content Management experience

  • Graphic Design experience using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop or Creative editing software

  • Advanced proficiency with HTML and CSS


Nice to Have: Preferred Requirements

  • Preferably 6+ years’ experience in web development or similar role, with experience in driving customer acquisition and revenue growth

  • Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional partners, prioritize high impact activities, and keep complex projects moving forward.

  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written

  • Proficient with analytics and digital marketing

  • Experience with a variety of analytic tools and channels

  • Digital Marketing experience/understanding

  • Creativity and Innovation

  • Communication and Collaboration

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$85,600.00 - $128,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
