Senior Data Scientist – Gen AI / LLM / RAG

Focus

• Build, train, and tune large-language-model solutions that use Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to answer real-world questions from company data.
• Design and run experiments to compare model quality, latency, and cost; present findings to technical and non-technical partners.
• Own the end-to-end workflow: data ingestion, feature preparation, model fine-tuning, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Pair with Data Engineers to keep ETL and orchestration jobs healthy and scalable.
• Guide junior team-members through code reviews and pair programming.

Must-haves

• 5 + years in Data Science or Machine Learning; at least 3 years working with modern generative-AI stacks.
• Proven delivery of LLM or RAG systems.
• Strong Python plus deep-learning libs.
• Solid statistics, experimentation design, and model-evaluation skills.
• Hands-on work with ETL and workflow managers such as Airflow or Dagster.
• Cloud experience and CI/CD know-how.
• Business-level English and Spanish.

Nice-to-have

• Retrieval tuning with hybrid search (BM25 + dense vectors).
• Experience adding safety / guard-rail layers.
• Kubernetes or Docker in production.
