As we continue our rapid expansion across Germany, we are looking for an experienced Strategic Account Executive to join the team in Germany to maximise the phenomenal market opportunity that exists for Databricks within the life sciences sector. Reporting to our Senior Director, Enterprise Sales, as a Strategic Account Executive at Databricks, you will focus on enhancing existing commercial relationships and closing new business opportunities within one of Germany's largest life sciences organisations.This is an opportunity for you to be our industry expert and sales professional for one of Databricks’ most pivotal German life sciences accounts. We are seeking a visionary sales professional to architect and execute a multi-year strategy that embeds the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform into the core of a premier life sciences organisation, driving their transformation, adoption and consumption and continued growth.
The impact you will have:
- Develop a deep understanding of the client's entire business, including their corporate strategy, scientific and operational challenges, and key political and financial drivers.
- Establish foundational relationships with key VPs, C-level executives, and Directors across multiple business units.
- Architect and present a comprehensive 12-24 month strategic account vision, created in partnership with the client and the core Databricks virtual team.
- Launch high-impact customer use cases based on this strategic vision, with clear success criteria and demonstrable ROI within your first 60 days
- Build the strategic and commercial foundations required to meet and exceed quarterly and annual quotas.
- Act as a recognised and trusted advisor, influencing the client’s leadership on their data
- and AI strategy.
- Evolve foundational relationships into strategic, C-suite partnerships, becoming an indispensable advisor for their data-driven transformation.
- Demonstrate measurable progress against the client's core business outcomes, such as accelerating R&D timelines or improving operational efficiency.
- Cultivate a robust pipeline of new enterprise-wide use cases that drives a significant and measurable increase in platform consumption.
What We Look For
- An extensive history in the Life Sciences or Big Pharma vertical, with demonstrated success architecting and executing multi-year growth plans within large, matrixed enterprise accounts. This requires a deep understanding of the sector's business challenges, political landscape, and nuances.
- A consistent record of exceeding performance targets by building long-term, strategic partnerships.
- A proven track record of selling complex Software, big data/AI solutions or Cloud technology solutions into large, matrixed organisations.
- The ability to link technology platforms to high-impact business outcomes and build compelling, data-driven value cases.Exceptional business acumen and the executive presence required to credibly engage, influence, and build consensus at the C-level.
- Expertise in orchestrating complex technology partnerships using a structured value methodology (e.g., MEDDPICC, Value Selling).
- Fluency in both English and German at a business level is essential.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
