This is an exciting opportunity to join the Surgical Marketing team in a highly valued role that is pivotal to the business. The OMH Disease State Manager (DSM) will develop, drive and be accountable for growth strategies in the field of Bariatrics. The OMH DSM is responsible for driving procedural adoption and overcoming barriers to the adoption of technologies at target account level and driving patient access & market development initiatives nationally.
This is a remote role, and travel is required for around 50% of the time, but is flexible dependent on business needs (UK&I and International).

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Develop the strategy for OMH, striking a balance between market share and market development activities, and leading the execution of this with the sales-team via the OMH Fiscal Business Plan
  • Use BCS approach to identify and develop projects to overcome barriers to patient access, either at regional and/or national levels, including Daycase, GetReady, New Service set-up, IHS etc. 
  • Use Business and Commercial acumen to create innovative Business models to drive share and lock-in Surgical revenue
  • KOL Management & Development, including liaison with key societies and congress management, such as BOMSS
  • Identify customer clinical training needs, including local trainings, and Clinical Immersions (UK&I/WE) and coordinate appropriate account selection
  • Work closely with PM’s, Digital Marketing Manager, and Marketing Specialist to drive product focused activities that align with a procedural/condition led approach  

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • University Degree (Bachelor or Master) education
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a Sales/Key Account Management or Market Development role in the Medical Devices industry.
  • Demonstrable examples of applying the principles of a DSM approach in current role
  • Additional Product Marketing and Surgical OU experience is a plus
  • Experience working in a matrix environment
