Tata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC, (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.

Position Summary:

Provide a qualified team leader to facilitate HAZOP and LOPA studies at various sites to support the following objectives:

PHA Revalidation for selected portions of the VCM, PVC, and Ethylene Units.

LOPA for Level 1 Risk Scenarios

MOC PHAs as requested

Consulting on PSM issues as requested

 

Responsibilities:

Specific duties of the Facilitator that apply to the above scope include:

1)           Provide consulting to assist with development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of                                              PHA/LOPA policies, procedures, and tools.

2)            Maintain Area Node lists that describe the scope and schedule for ongoing PHA Revalidation effort.

3)            Maintain the MI Audit database and report monthly on status of action item resolution.

4)            Assist personnel with any internal or external audits of the PHA element at sites.

5)            Maintain templates for HAZOP, LOPA, and other studies.

6)            For each PHA:

Verify completeness of Process Safety Information, Node drawings, Charter and databases in coordination with the Scribe and personnel, prior to the first session.

Conduct the PHA review in accordance with our policies and procedures.

Provide guidance to PHA Teams to ensure consistency of analysis and correct application of CDI/TCE approved methodology.

Prepare for and lead Management Review meetings at the sites after completion of each study.

Generate LOPA worksheets as needed and facilitate LOPA studies.

Check and approve the final report for each study (which will be assembled by other on-site resources) prior to final issue.

 Assist with recommendation resolution as requested by Company personnel.    

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in the Petrochemical/Refining industry

Required:PHA Leadership Certificate

5 years’ experience as a PHA facilitator

Willing to travel to client locations

Location can be remote

Reports to the Director of Engineering

Education Requirements:

Engineering Degree

BS in an accredited engineering discipline

PE preferred

CFSE preferred
