Why This Role Matters:
We are seeking a forward-thinking Principal Cloud Platform Engineer with strong architectural underpinnings and next-level infrastructure-as-code engineering skills. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS or GCP, complemented by experience with Azure. This role involves leading the delivery and design of multi-Cloud solutions that are secure, scalable and aligned with our business objectives.
How You’ll Contribute:
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive multi-cloud platform infrastructure-as-code, with a strong emphasis on Terraform.
- Architect and oversee continuous improvement of cloud implementations, optimizing for performance, scalability, and maintainability across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate technical and business requirements into robust cloud platform solutions, leveraging the strengths of each cloud provider.
- Support the migration and integration of applications across AWS, GCP, and Azure, ensuring an optimized multi-cloud environment.
- Advocate for and ensure the implementation of cloud security best practices and compliance with relevant industry standards across all platforms.
- Mentor team members on cloud technologies, infrastructure-as-code, and best practices, fostering continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay current with new developments in cloud technologies, particularly within GCP and AWS, and evaluate their potential impact on strategic goals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in cloud platform engineering and architecture.
- Deep expertise in Enterprise-caliber AWS or GCP architecture is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience with Terraform (or similar) for infrastructure automation.
- Proficiency in cloud security measures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills.
- Experience working across Enterprise pillars of Identity and network access a plus.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and integration within Cloud environments.
- Familiarity with AI/ML implementations.
Compensation:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $215,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors such as market location, job-related skills, and experience.
