Role and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage strategic programs from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals, scope, timeline, and budget.
- Partner with senior leadership to define program objectives, success criteria, and key milestones.
- Oversee program interdependencies, risks, and resource allocation across multiple project streams.
- Establish and reinforce PMO methodologies, governance standards, and performance metrics.
- Mentor and coach project managers, ensuring delivery excellence and professional growth.
- Provide executive-level reporting on program health, risks, outcomes, and value realization.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability within the PMO.
- Drive change management strategies to support successful adoption and sustainment of program outcomes.
- Collaborates with leaders, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to drive initiatives, resolve challenges, and advance business priorities.
- Drives excellence and impactful results, adapting to change, tracking performance, and recommending improvements.
- Takes ownership and upholds company values, holding self and others accountable while balancing risks to drive success.
- Builds strong customer relationships, exceeding expectations and ensuring long-term satisfaction.
- Takes on additional responsibilities as needed to support team and organizational goals.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of project and program management experience, including at least 5 years managing enterprise-wide programs.
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery models.
- Background in business transformation, M&A integration, or digital strategy execution.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, including experience with executive presentations.
- Familiarity with portfolio management software and reporting dashboards.
- Experience in a formal PMO environment with governance and portfolio oversight responsibilities.
- Industry-recognized certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, or SAFe.
- Proven ability to lead through influence and manage stakeholders across multiple levels and functions.
- Strong financial and risk management skills with the ability to manage multi-million-dollar budgets.
- Expertise with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Clarity, JIRA, Asana or similar).
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across teams and leadership levels.
- Solid understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive factors relevant to the function.
- Proven ability to execute strategic initiatives, manage complexity, and support organizational change.
- Skilled in developing teams, coaching talent, and fostering accountability.
- Capable of assessing risks and using data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Experienced in cross-functional collaboration to drive process improvements and business outcomes.
