Hybrid Heavy Equipment Operator bei Waste Connections

Join Waste Connections as a Heavy Equipment Operator at our Landfill in Houston, TX. Landfill is located at 4107 S Sam Houston Pkwy W Houston, TX 77053. In this position you will be operating our Dozers, Excavators, Compactor, along with trucks and smaller equipment at our solid waste landfill.

🛠️ Job Duties:

•Spreading and compacting trash using a compactor
•Spreading daily cover using a Dozer
•Excavating soil using an excavator
•Maintaining haul roads using a grader
•Hauling soil
•Work in a fast paced, team environment
•Follow safe operating practices
•Learn and use interpersonal skills relating to good customer service

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
•Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 60 pounds.
•The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.

✅ Requirements:
•Valid driver’s license.
•Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
