About the role:
 
Reporting to the Manager Training & Development, the Senior Lead, Training and Development, Mine Operations is responsible for the overseeing and coordinating training initiatives across both regional and site operations. This role demands exemplary hands-on leadership to guide and support training teams throughout the region, while also serving as a key member of the senior leadership team at the Coal Mountain Training Campus. The primary objective is to promote best practices and drive the standardization in Mine Operations training programs. Success in this role requires a strategic approach to training, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to inspire and lead a dynamic team effectively.
 
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal communication skills who can lead, coach, and collaborate effectively across teams. Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience, with the ability to coach and mentor others effectively, is essential. The successful individual is highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and a learner-focused approach.
 
In this role you will have the opportunity to guide the training team to deliver results. You are responsible for the overall success of the site training program as well as being a representative of the broader EVR training team in the development of minimum standards, best practices, and standardization of training results across all our sites.
