At Bone Dry Roofing, we believe the smallest actions can create the biggest smiles. That’s why we’re on the lookout for a Brand Mascot to join our team! The ideal candidate would be high-energy, reliable, with a friendly disposition (well, technically inside the mascot suit!) to represent the Bone Dry Roofing Family at events, school visits, parades, and community outreach efforts. The Brand Mascot would wear our Bone Dry Roofing dog mascot uniform/suit when representing Bone Dry Roofing.
This Brand Mascot isn’t just about high-fives and dance moves—although those help. You’ll be part of something bigger: building relationships, bringing joy, and helping people feel connected to a company that stands for trust, peace of mind, and a job done right. You’ll be the extra degree. The spark. The smile in the photo. The bridge between our team and the communities we serve.
This position is 1099 Contract Role with a part-time schedule for our Indianapolis office.
Duties and Responsibilities
Attend community events, local partnerships, school functions, and more as our Bone Dry mascot dog
Bring energy, positivity, and connection to every event—whether that means waving, dancing, taking photos, or just being present
Work closely with our marketing and outreach team to create meaningful, memorable interactions
Help people feel like part of the Bone Dry Family—even if they’re meeting us for the first time
Listen to your home team handler and follow important guidelines that keep you, the suit and our community safe
Interact with event goers in a fun family friendly way
Stay in communication with home team during events
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Pass a background check
Ability to work part-time schedule with flexibility for weekend and evening events
A friendly attitude and great people skills
You’re comfortable engaging with people of all ages—from toddlers to grandparents
Strong work ethic and reliable
Calm under pressure (not easily aggravated by large crowds or groups)
A desire to be part of something that matters—and bring a little joy wherever you go.
Additional Qualification Requirement for Brand Mascot Costume
The Brand Mascot position is required to wear the Bone Dry Roofing dog mascot costume/suit which has very specific sizing requirements listed below that would need to be met
The ideal candidate will not mind being in a mascot costume/suit for indoor and outdoor events
The mascot costume/suit sizing requirements are as follows: A height of 5’5” to 5’8” and a slim build, Specific size ranges for the suit: waist size range of 29”to 34”, Hips size 35 to 38”, Shoulders range of 39 to 42”, Neck size under 15”, weight range under 155, foot size under 11”
The ability to fulfil the role’s physical demands as follows: standing for long periods, withstanding heat (we’ll provide breaks, cooling packs to wear with mascot suit to not overheat, refreshments during events to stay hydrated), & wearing the costume suit requires the ability to feel comfortable in confined spaces
The ability to represent the Bone Dry brand in family friendly interactions within the communities we serve and with people of all ages from toddlers to grandparents
Compensation & Benefits
Part-time position of 10 to 15 hours per week with $20 hourly compensation
Flexibility for weekend and evening events is required
This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position
