POSITION SUMMARY
The Hotel Fitness Center Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of the Fitness Center Attendants, training new employees, guest relations in the fitness center, and be First Aid certified or willing to be certified. Must be able to fold towels and operate computer equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Oversee operations and cleanliness of the Fitness Center including but not limited to; towels are laundered and well stocked, facility is clean and safe, facility is properly used
Contact engineering or equipment representatives to maintain and repair fitness equipment.
Provide supervision for fitness center attendants: train all new hire employees to the standards of the department, review shift pass on log for issues that need attention, provide Spa Manager with monthly schedule, and seasonal evaluations of staff performance
Get towels to laundry and operate washers and dryers as instructed
Responsible for guest relations in the Fitness Center
Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
General computer experience preferred including Word and Outlook experience
Excellent administrative and organizational skills
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Ability to adhere to all safety policies
Ability to problem-solve in a highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff, including management, subordinates and co-workers.
Previous fitness and/or pool experience helpful
CPR/First Aid certification required or willing to acquire
Must have Colorado approved Alcohol Server Training certificate or must attend a Colorado approved alcohol server training educational seminar within 30 days of employment
Position requires working weekends and holidays as needed
2 years of previous work history/education required
Communicate clearly in English, both verbal / non-verbal, and written
Ensure understanding and compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
Be a consistent role model for company’s Service Excellence standards
Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company’s Service Excellence standards

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED equivalent
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: Starting at $20.72- $27.56 per hour
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be minimum 18 years of age
Ability to walk 1-2 miles each shift and able to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift 20 lbs. regularly and up to 50lbs. periodically
Ability to fold towels on a regular basis
Must be able to operate computer equipment and keyboard
