The Clinical Psychologist will provide high-quality psychological services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation, to individuals across various settings. The role involves working with clients to address a wide range of mental health issues, conducting therapy sessions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. The Clinical Psychologist will also engage in research activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of mental health programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological evaluations using interviews, observations and standardized psychological tests. 

• Diagnose mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders based on psychological assessments.

• Develop treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Employ various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Supportive Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy.

• Help clients develop coping strategies and work through emotional and psychological challenges.

• Provide immediate support and intervention in crisis situations, including risk assessment and management of suicidal ideation.

• Collaborate with emergency services when necessary.

• Work closely with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.

• Provide consultation services to other healthcare providers regarding psychological aspects of patient care.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and reports.

• Prepare detailed psychological reports for use in treatment planning and case management.

Our Clinical Psychologist role requires:

• Fully Licensed (PsyD) clinical psychologist credential in the state of Georgia
• Passion for high quality care
• Experience conducting compressive assessments of clients and developing individualized treatment plans
• Proficiency in using an EMR system and ensuring accurate and up to date electronic health records for all patient encounters
• Understanding of mental health disorders and treatment modalities
• Desire and ability to see a general spectrum of mental health conditions. We believe everyone deserves access to care
• Geode prefers psychologists who have over one year of professional experience doing psychotherapy
