Join the Oral Health Therapy team as an Adjunct Lecturer and play an active role in the professional and personal development of the learners to prepare them for work and life.

[What you will be working on] – i.e. responsibilities & tasks that incumbent needs to perform in this role

• Teach Diploma in Oral Health Therapy students at simulation labs or clinical settings
• Contribute actively to the continuous improvement of the Diploma in Oral Health Therapy curriculum

[What we are looking for]

• Locally recognized certification in Dentistry or Oral Health Therapy (Dental Hygiene/Dental Therapy)
• At least 3 year(s) full time experience in Dental Hygiene/Dental Therapy scope of practice. This should also include familiarity with clinical records management systems, related ethical responsibilities and referral processes.
• Experience working with Oral Health Therapists in a clinical environment
• Meet the prerequisites for registration with the Singapore Dental Council for the purpose of clinical supervision
• Has a genuine interest in working with and teaching young adults over prolonged durations
• Expertise in customisable oral health promotion strategies such as behaviour modification techniques and designing interventions based on inquiry & advocacy
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and online based platforms(eg Zoom) for home-based teaching and learning
• Active in attending/ leading continuing education programs and abreast with new developments in dentistry
• Additional qualifications in Psychology, Sociology, Early Childhood or Special Needs Care, Paediatric dentistry and Periodontology would be an advantage
