Why You'll Love Working at SAN:
About the Job:
The Finance & Airline Relations department is looking for an Associate Asset Manager with a keen eye for detail and a curiosity for how airport operations, real estate, and agreements intersect to support the business of aviation. This role helps administer the Airport Authority’s real estate agreements with airlines’ related tenants, ensuring those agreements accurately reflect how space is used across the airport and deliver the value they were designed to generate.
Working alongside Asset Managers, the Associate Asset Manager supports agreement administration, monitors lease compliance, coordinates tenant improvement projects, and maintains strong working relationships with tenants. The role collaborates closely with internal teams across the Authority to help ensure that operational needs, financial terms, and tenant agreements remain aligned.
The ideal candidate will bring strong relationship-building skills, attention to detail, and an interest in understanding how operational realities and financial terms connect. They are comfortable reviewing agreements, asking thoughtful questions, and working collaboratively to resolve issues and keep projects moving forward.
At San Diego International Airport, space is one of our most valuable resources. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into how airport property, airline relationships, and revenue generation work together while developing the skills needed to support negotiations and manage complex agreements that help shape the future of the airport.
