Job Overview:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Innovation Platform, the Product Associate will shape how cutting-edge university research reaches the real world. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of breakthrough science, startups, and national impact, helping build the tools and frameworks that turn federally funded discoveries into ventures that matter. You'll conduct user research with universities and innovation hubs, define product requirements, oversee deployments, and create materials that make complex commercialization methodologies accessible to a growing community of researchers and entrepreneurs. Responsibilities
Conduct customer discovery interviews and synthesize insights to inform product strategy and positioningDevelop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with market opportunities and customer needsConduct market research to identify customer segments, market trends, and competitive dynamicsCoordinate customer feedback sessions, user testing, and market validation activitiesTrack and analyze product metrics and customer engagement dataDevelop and maintain templates, processes, and best practices for product developmentTranslate stakeholder feedback into actionable product enhancements and maintain prioritized roadmapsAssist with external deployment of tools to partner institutions, including pilot coordination and onboardingCollaborate internally to develop training materials and documentation that enable external stakeholders to independently use NobleReach frameworksCreate product descriptions, one-pagers, and positioning language for tools and methodologiesManage multiple concurrent product initiatives while coordinating across technical, education, and marketing teams
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field2-4 years of experience in product management, product marketing, or related roleStrong customer discovery and market research skills with ability to synthesize insightsDemonstrated ability to create compelling presentations and marketing materialsExperience writing product requirements documents, user stories, or similar specificationsStrong analytical skills and comfort working with dataAbility to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiencesDemonstrated interest in entrepreneurship and early-stage venturesFamiliarity with technology transfer, entrepreneurship support, or venture development a plusExceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality workAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment; ability to exercise flexibility and good judgment in complex situationsAppetite for curiosity and desire to learnMust have an entrepreneurial mindset with a strong desire to have an impact on society
