Job Description

To support this mission, Syngenta is seeking a Data & Insights Manager to lead the North America Data & Analytics strategy while driving the delivery of enterprise Data, Analytics, and AI solutions. This leadership role will partner with regional and global stakeholders to develop scalable data products, accelerate AI transformation, strengthen data governance, and deliver business insights that enable faster, smarter decision-making.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the North America Data & Insights strategy and team, aligning regional priorities with global data and AI initiatives.
  • Drive delivery of scalable Data, Analytics, AI, and Data Mesh solutions that create measurable business value.
  • Partner with business leaders and IT stakeholders to identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and translate business needs into impactful data solutions.
  • Lead Data Mesh implementation, Data Governance, and AI transformation efforts across North America.
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing internal teams and external delivery partners in an Agile environment.
  • Manage the North America Data & Insights budget while ensuring successful execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Represent North America on the Global Commercial Data & Insights Leadership Team, contributing to enterprise-wide data strategy and innovation.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Informatics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience leading Data & Insights, Analytics, or Commercial Technology teams, such as at least 5 years supporting commercial business functions.
  • Experience developing and implementing Data Strategy, Data Governance, Data Mesh, AI Transformation, and Analytics solutions. Experience with Databricks, Qlik, SAP, and Salesforce.com is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-based data platforms, AI tools, data engineering, visualization, and modern analytics technologies.
  • Experience leading Agile/Scrum product delivery teams in a complex matrix organization.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable data products and actionable insights.
  • Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders, vendor partnerships, and enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence senior business leaders.

Desired:

  • Experience serving as a Product Owner or Scrum Master.
  • Experience with Business Process Management and Data Catalog initiatives.
  • Knowledge of DevOps operating models and self-service analytics platforms.
  • Experience leading global or multi-regional data transformation programs.

 

Additional Information

  • Travel:  10–15% travel required.
  • Work Authorization: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
