Description
We are seeking a PhD-level Social Science Statistical Analyst to support the USSOCOM J39 program, focused on assessing the effectiveness of Operations in the Information Environment (OIE) and Psychological Operations (PSYOP).
This role is critical to bringing analytical rigor and scientific validity to influence operations by transforming complex data into defensible, decision-ready insights. You will develop and refine statistical models, support operational units, and enhance assessment methodologies across the J39 enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct advanced statistical analysis on OIE and PSYOP assessment data
Clean, process, and manage large, complex datasets
Develop and refine multivariate statistical models
Perform analyses such as:

Regression (including multivariate)
-
ANOVA
-
Correlation and distribution analysis
-
A/B testing and response analysis
-
Outlier detection and salience indexing
-
Translate analytical outputs into clear, mission-relevant insights
-
Support development of training materials and analytical guidance for subordinate units
-
Continuously refine analytical methodologies and models
-
Validate analytical approaches for operational utility and real-world application
Required Qualifications
Active Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain TS/SCI
PhD in Behavioral Science (e.g., Psychology, Anthropology, or related field)
Minimum of 5 years (within the last 7 years) in:

Social science or market research methodologies
-
Data cleaning, processing, and statistical analysis
-
Minimum of 5 years developing multivariate statistical models
-
Minimum of 5 years using statistical analysis software
Desired Qualifications
Experience in program evaluation, particularly assessing communication or messaging interventions (1+ year)
Experience supporting:

SOF organizations
-
Information Operations (IO)
-
PSYOP or influence missions
-
Formal coursework or advanced training in program evaluation methodologies

Experience (5+ years preferred) conducting:
-
A/B testing
-
Behavioral response analysis
-
Applied statistical modeling tied to real-world outcomes

Demonstrated ability to apply statistical methods to influence and behavior change problems
