The Operations Finance Rotation Program (OFRP) - Operations Financial Analyst role is an intensive two-year, entry-level undergraduate rotational program spanning two year-long assignments in preparation for large leadership roles in finance. Candidates will be placed on various finance teams that support an aspect of customer fulfillment. What is fulfillment you ask? Fulfillment is how we refer to completing or fulfilling a customer’s Amazon.com order and the acts of picking, packing, shipping and delivering their order to meet or exceed their expectations! The program combines ongoing training opportunities and challenging job assignments to equip you with exceptional financial, business, leadership, and technical skills. The program is led by senior Amazon professionals and mentors that are committed to developing financial leaders for exciting careers.

This rotational program will offer you the opportunity for accelerated career growth, and provides exposure to business leaders in a culture that recognizes and rewards excellence. After successful completion of this rotational program, participants are expected to take on financial leadership positions supporting one of Amazon’s many business units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partnering with operational leadership and frontline associates to identify, develop, and enact process improvements within the supply chain process.

• Participating in daily and weekly planning discussions with senior leadership.

• Maintaining and improving financial reporting to support and challenge business decisions.

• Conducting financial analysis to help identify capital investment requirements and/or cost reduction opportunities.

• Designing and maintaining insightful reporting to drive action of business partners using Excel/VBA/SQL.

• Analyzing operational metrics, conducting root cause analysis, and communicating financial impact across Finance, Operations and other support departments.

• Exposure to both variable and fixed budgeting and reconciliation on a weekly, monthly, and yearly level, upwards of $250MM.

Locations and Placement:

OFRP is a rotational program and requires the willingness to relocate throughout Canada during the two-year program. Placements are based on business need. This is not a remote role as onsite collaboration and partnership are critical to participant success.

Basic Qualifications

  • Are 18 years of age or older

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree with an expected conferral date between December 2025 and June 2026 OR have graduated from a Bachelor's degree program within the last 24 months.

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, industrial engineering, accounting, supply chain management, operations and information systems, business administration and management, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities

  • Knowledge of and proficiency in Excel and SQL

  • Experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions, evaluate outcomes, and make data-driven decisions

  • Experience dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment

  • Experience communicating complex business concepts in verbal and written form

  • Understanding of basic business, accounting, and finance concepts.

  • Strong academic, leadership, and/or extracurricular record.

  • Ability to influence across all levels of an organization.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
