The Work
The Senior Director, Value Capture, is the enterprise’s chief architect and accelerator of synergy realization. This role ensures that the promised value of an acquisition or transformation is not only attainable but fully delivered - through disciplined tracking, strategic challenge, intelligent prioritization, and relentless execution.
Acting as the organization’s “value orchestrator,” the Senior Director builds the frameworks, governance, insights, and momentum required for leaders to deliver cost efficiencies, revenue growth, operational enhancements, and strategic upside from major initiatives. This position is highly impactful and visible, positioned at the crossroads of strategy, finance, treasury, risk management, operations, and organizational transformation.
Value Strategy & Blueprinting
Translate deal rationale and integration ambition into a clear, actionable Value Capture Blueprint that outlines synergy categories, financial targets, timelines, measurement methods, and cross‑functional owners.
Pressure‑test all assumptions with Finance, Treasury, Risk, Business Leaders, Technology, and Operations to ensure baselines are credible, stretch goals are achievable, and value commitments reflect real business drivers.
Establish an enterprise value narrative that senior executives can rally behind — clear, compelling, and tied directly to the Bank’s multi‑year growth plan.
Value Governance & Accountability
Create and lead the Value Capture Governance Model, including cadence, materials, decision forums, and tracking mechanisms.
Hold senior workstream leaders accountable to targets through structured reviews, escalation protocols, and transparent reporting.
Maintain a single source of truth for synergy performance, including forecasts, variances, risks, and upside opportunities.
Acceleration & Problem Solving
Identify early warning signs that value may be at risk and intervene decisively: facilitate cross‑functional issue‑solving, deploy “tiger teams,” or redesign plans to restore momentum.
Ensure that synergy plans are operationally feasible, technically aligned, and not overly dependent on high‑risk assumptions.
Develop optimization scenarios, trade‑off analyses, and sensitivity models to support executive decision‑making.
Integration & Interlock Leadership
Partner with Technology, Retail Banking, Operations, Risk, Finance, Treasury, HR, and PMO to ensure value delivery is synchronized with integration milestones, cutovers, regulatory timelines, and customer impacts.
Serve as the connective tissue between Workstream Leads and the IMO, ensuring that business decisions translate into measurable value outcomes.
Anticipate cross‑functional collisions and adjust plans to protect both value and operational stability.
Insights, Reporting, and Executive Alignment
Produce high‑impact executive reporting that surfaces insights, not just metrics — including drivers of performance, risks, mitigations, and recommendations.
Provide the CEO, CFO, CHRO, CIO, and Business Heads with a consistent and compelling view of value performance.
Coach leaders and initiative owners on building robust business cases, measurement methods, and execution discipline.
