About the Role

We’re looking for a Sales Executive to join our US team and drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth. In this role, you’ll be responsible for identifying, engaging, and closing new opportunities across your territory, introducing organizations to Moodle and helping them envision how it can support their learning and training goals. This is a consultative, outbound-focused role that blends prospecting, solution selling, and cross-functional collaboration—ideal for a motivated sales professional who thrives on building pipeline and winning new business in a mission-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

Most days in this role usually involve a mix of:

  • Prospecting and qualifying new leads through outbound outreach and inbound inquiries
  • Managing a pipeline of net-new opportunities from discovery to close
  • Leading discovery conversations to understand organizational goals, challenges, and use cases
  • Positioning and demonstrating Moodle solutions in collaboration with Solutions Consultants
  • Developing tailored proposals and leading contract and pricing discussions
  • Collaborating with Marketing on campaigns, events, trade shows, and conferences to generate demand
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams (Support, DevOps, Learning Designers) to ensure a smooth handoff post-sale
  • Accurately forecasting pipeline and maintaining opportunity records in Salesforce
  • Using tools such as Salesforce, Hubspot, Slack, and Google Workspace

Requirements

We’d love to meet you

Especially if you can tell us about your:

  • Proven experience in sales and revenue generation
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to think strategically about client long-term goals
  • Confidence working with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in Higher Education, EdTech, or SaaS (nice-to-have!)
  • Initiative, independence, and a positive, solutions-focused mindset
