We are looking for a skilled Platform Engineer to design, implement, and optimize our CI/CD infrastructure and automation ecosystem. This role will focus on building robust pipelines, developer tooling, and integrations that accelerate application delivery across cloud-native environments. You will work closely with Platform and Development teams to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable software delivery workflows. Key Responsibilities
CI/CD Development and Automation:
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Argo Workflows, and Argo CD.
Implement reusable pipeline templates and automation scripts across multiple repositories.
Drive improvements in build performance, testing automation, artifact management, and deployment workflows.
Infrastructure as Code & Environment Management:
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
Manage Kubernetes environments (EKS or self-hosted) through GitOps workflows.
Implement observability, monitoring, and alerting for all CI/CD systems.
Scripting and Automation:
Write clean, reusable, and maintainable scripts using Python and Shell for automation, integration, and data processing tasks.
Develop tooling to integrate third-party systems, such as GitHub, AWS, Jenkins, and Prometheus, into the platform ecosystem.
Integration and Developer Tooling:
Build integrations that streamline interactions between developer tools (Git, CI/CD, monitoring systems, container registries).
Collaborate with development teams to define best practices for CI/CD adoption, branching strategies, and deployment pipelines.
Security, Compliance, and Access Control:
Implement least-privilege IAM, RBAC, and JIT access patterns for CI/CD systems.
Ensure secure credential management, API authentication, and data encryption within automation pipelines.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with Platform, Security, and Development teams to define DevOps standards and enhance developer experience.
Document pipelines, automation scripts, and best practices for internal teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in Shell scripting and Python/Go for automation and tooling.
Hands-on experience with Jenkins (pipeline libraries, shared libraries, agents, configuration as code).
Experience with GitOps tools like Argo CD, Argo Workflows, or Tekton.
Strong understanding of CI/CD architecture, branching strategies, and release automation.
Comfortable with YAML-based configuration, JSON serialization, and API integrations.
Cloud and Containerization:
Deep understanding of AWS services (ECR, EC2, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, etc.).
Experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and Docker.
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).
Monitoring and Observability:
Exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and similar observability stacks.
Ability to automate log collection and pipeline observability.
Version Control and Open Source:
Strong understanding of Git workflows, PR-based review processes, and code-quality automation.
Familiarity with open-source contribution and toolchain management using GitHub or GitLab.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-driven, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
Good to Have
Experience with AWS CDK, Crossplane, or Pulumi for cloud automation.
Familiarity with internal developer portals like Port, Backstage, or Cortex.
Exposure to security tooling integration in pipelines (e.g., Snyk, Trivy, or OPA/Kyverno).
Knowledge of event-driven workflows using AWS EventBridge, Kafka, or SNS/SQS.
Experience building dashboards or metrics for CI/CD performance and developer experience.
