We are currently recruiting for a Manual QA Engineer to support a large-scale programme. This role requires someone who can take full ownership of testing within assigned functional areas, quickly develop deep domain understanding, and coordinate testing activities across multiple teams and impacted systems. You will be expected to work autonomously, collaborate closely with business teams to carry out testing, and ensure all test cycles are executed to a high standard within an Agile environment.
Please note this role operates in a hybrid model with candidates expected to be able and willing to work from our customer's Dublin office at least once per week.
Required skills:
- 5+ years of manual software testing experience in complex, multi-system environments
- Strong experience in integration testing and end-to-end testing
- Ability to pick up new systems and ways of working quickly
- Experience with Zephyr, Jira and Confluence
- Robust verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and keep deliverables moving
- Ability to investigate, troubleshoot and clearly communicate issues with engineering teams
Key responsibilities & duties include:
- Take ownership of specific functional areas and develop in-depth knowledge of associated systems
- Plan and coordinate all cycles of testing, including integration-level, end-to0end and business-scenario testing
- Work closely with business teams and technical teams to prepare, execute and support testing activities
- Re-test fixes for defects and maintain up-to-date test cases as requirements evolve
- Prepare Test Scenarios and Test Cases for module, integration and system testing
- Ensure proper test coverage while identifying and mitigating redundancy
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and tools
- Analyse specifications and requirements to create high-quality test assets
Desirable skills:
- Ability to work both in a team and individually, setting priorities and driving your own workload
- Strong understanding of software testing concepts across the full software development lifecycle
- Aviation or airline systems experience
