The Opportunity:
The ideal candidate is an experienced Registered Nurse who possesses excellent communication and client service skills.
There is no in-person face-to-face patient contact in this role; the primary interaction with patients is through the telephone or by e-mail so the successful applicant must have similar experience.
This is a permanent role with full-time hours scheduled primarily during business hours Monday through Friday. Saturdays and Sundays may be required in the future. The role is accountable for on-call coverage on rotation with the team every 6-8 weeks. The position will be mostly remote with occasional on site meetings at the downtown Toronto clinic.
What You'll Do:
Support nursing inquires and duties for our new Galleri multi-cancer early detection test, and aiding in the development and launch of future Medcan programs.
Primary point of contact for patients which may include providing patients with education and guidance regarding healthy lifestyle, navigation of the health care system, and support and counseling regarding new diagnoses.
Coordinate follow up care for patients including scheduling appointments and providing follow up care such as results and prescription renewals.
Communication and explanation of results
Case Management
Collaborating with physicians and product for development of new programs
Rotational weekend/evening nurse on call coverage
Coordinate with others team to ensure exceptional delivery of service for all patients
The Requirements:
Registered Nurse in good standing with Ontario College of Nurses
Current CPR-Healthcare certificate
1-5+ years nursing experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Great organization and time management skills
Intermediate level in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
