Salary: Band 6 Point 9 (£28,239)

Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (26 days holiday plus bank holidays)

Contract: Permanent

Closing Date: Midday on Friday 21st November 2025

Start Date: January 2026 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Site Manager to join our team, to ensure the smooth running of the school by carrying out a range of duties working alongside and managing the Site Assistant.  We are seeking someone who is reliable and flexible and who will take pride in maintaining our school’s site ensuring a safe and healthy environment in which our children can thrive.

We are looking to appoint someone who: 

  • Has excellent health and safety knowledge
  • Has experience of managing a site and acting as a keyholder, ensuring the security of the buildings and site
  • Can accurately manage a budget for site maintenance ensuring the School Business Manager/Head of Estates is regularly updated on current and foreseeable expenditure
  • Has the necessary skills and experience to appropriately manage and direct the Site Assistant 
  • Has great communications skills and is able to obtain relevant quotes when required, direct contractors in relation to repairs and maintenance work and ensure repairs are completed satisfactorily
  • Is self-motivated and proactive and can multi task, prioritise and manage their own work load 
  • Can undertake day-to-day maintenance duties and problem solve when necessary
  • Will ensure the site is safe and free from hazards including footpaths and playgrounds 
  • Has the ability to work under pressure at times, to meet deadlines and to cope with interruptions
  • Can be flexible and is willing to undertake adhoc work to enable the school to function appropriately 
  • Commit to the security and safeguarding arrangements according to school policies
  • To maintain confidentiality at all times and ensure compliance with data protection legislation
