Job Description:
This job is responsible for leading multiple major operations segment for a site, region, or product line within the bank's internal operations. Key responsibilities include identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex problems, ensuring compliance with policies, and identifying and implementing opportunities to improve process performance and operating efficiency. Job expectations include coordinating activities and processes across operations segments.

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Group Operations Manager to lead our vendor meetings and events operations. This role will oversee vendor partnerships, drive sustainability initiatives, and manage supplier relationships to ensure seamless execution of corporate events globally. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in event strategy, contract negotiation, and performance measurement, with a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement. Knowledge of sustainability practices and ESG frameworks is a plus.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and performance measurement of the Meetings & Events Management program, which includes venue sourcing, contracting, and event payments oversight.

  • Oversee relationships with external vendors and partners, including hotels, speaker bureaus, and event properties.

  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with hotel suppliers to optimize value and service quality.

  • Develop and maintain performance dashboards and business continuity plans to ensure operational resilience.

  • Drive sustainability initiatives across global travel, aviation, and meetings in alignment with the company’s Net Zero 2050 goals.

  • Manage RFI/RFP processes and contractual relationships to support scalable and compliant event operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven success in managing global programs and cross-functional teams

  • Vendor operations management and escalation resolution experience

  • Strong relationship and contract management experience and business acumen, hotel and supplier contracts preferred

  • Experience in defining and executing against strategy

  • Proficiency in data analytics and dashboard tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

  • Executive presentation and polish; results-oriented

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven experience in responding with sense of urgency

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in corporate meetings & events, and travel operations highly preferred

  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and ESG frameworks is a plus

  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment

  • Experience with global travel policies and compliance standards

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, hospitality, or related field; Master’s preferred
