OVERVIEW
As a Corporate Communications Coordinator/Sr. Coordinator, you will help expand brand reach and visibility for Paul, Weiss and its Corporate practices, industries and attorneys through media relations, social media and multimedia content. This role will work closely with the Corporate Communications Manager to support business development and branding for the firm’s transactional attorneys and practice groups through innovative and creative communications strategies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with the Corporate Communications Manager, Business Development colleagues and partners in the firm to support tactical execution around announcements, campaigns and other initiatives
Prepare media materials such as media lists, pitches and lateral announcement press releases
Draft LinkedIn posts on behalf of partners
Conduct research to support communications strategies and visibility plans
Respond to media inquiries in a timely manner and begin building relationships with top-tier and legal/financial industry trade media
Provide backup coverage for our Communications Assistant on an as-needed basis for media monitoring
QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree in journalism, communications, marketing, English or a related field
- A minimum of 2-4 years experience in public relations, journalism or a related field
- Experience working with financial or professional services firms is preferred (either in an in-house or agency setting)
- Excellent communication ability, including writing skills
- Ability to work in an environment with shifting priorities to meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Highly organized with a meticulous attention to detail
- Resourceful, driven attitude with a genuine desire and energy to use a “whatever it takes” approach to ensure team success
- Enthusiasm and interest in communications/media, business, policy and the law.
- The role will require some off-hours and weekend work.
WORK REQUIREMENTS:
This is a hybrid role which requires in-office attendance in accordance with the schedule set forth by the department. A hybrid schedule is an essential
function of this role.
SALARY:
$72,000 - $78,000. Paul, Weiss offers competitive compensation and benefits packages. The firm considers a number of factors when determining compensation, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, levels of experience, competency levels and other relevant skills and qualifications.
