This role offers hybrid/remote flexibility, but strong preference for candidates in the Washington, DC area.
Washington Analysis seeks to promote internally and will be looking for candidates that show a desire and ability to grow into a role as an analyst (Vice President).
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze policy issues and themes emanating from federal and state government that present actionable investment opportunities
- Support the research processes of sector-specific and special situations analysts and ensure the publication of timely and concise research reports on various topics
- Connect policy risks and opportunities to publicly traded companies
- Identify speakers for conference calls and events, and support execution of calls and events
- Support the editorial team in reviewing and publishing research, as necessary
- Assist due diligence research projects on tight deadlines
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree plus 1-4 years of relevant work experience
- Experience analyzing and writing on public policy or legal topics
- Ability to communicate complex information effectively in writing and in person
- Prior internship or work experience in research, government, advocacy, or similar roles
- Knowledge of or interest in the financial markets
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within our team environment
- Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to help build and grow WA’s research business
