Rocky Mountain Classical Academy (RMCA) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional – Behavior Support to join our student services team. This position plays a key role in supporting students’ social, emotional, and behavioral growth through positive interventions and structured support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate patience, consistency, and strong communication skills while maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher preferred (Bachelor’s degree a plus)
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with children in an educational or behavioral support setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in challenging situations
- Understanding of behavior intervention strategies and positive behavior supports
- Collaborative mindset and a commitment to student success

Requirements
- Provide behavioral and academic support to students individually and in small groups under the supervision of certified staff.
- Implement behavior support plans, de-escalation strategies, and reinforcement systems as directed by the special education or intervention team.
- Assist in maintaining a structured, safe, and positive learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with Learning Services staff and the mental health team in writing and implementing individualized behavior plans.
- Support classroom teachers with behavior management, redirection, and student engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers, Learning Services staff, and administration to ensure consistency in implementing supports.
- Attend professional development and training as assigned.
- Support students in developing positive coping skills, self-regulation strategies, and social-emotional growth.
- Follow all school policies, procedures, and directives as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Communicate professionally and confidentiality with staff, students, and families.

- Proficiency with Google Workspace and common software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
