Job Summary:
Reporting to the Dir., Global Transportation, this role is responsible for developing and executing strategies that support the company’s fleet operation across North America, Europe, Australia, and globally. This includes strategic procurement and supplier management for vehicle acquisition total cost of ownership (TCO), fuel programs, maintenance and repair (MRO), telematics, fleet management systems, tires and parts, and other related services; working closely with our FMC, Operations, Logistics, Finance, Legal, IT, HR, Insurance, Pinch Leadership and Safety.
Responsibilities:
Vehicle acquisition and remarketing program
Support: Fuel card, optimization programs, and fleet maintenance repair operation (MRO)
Software: Fleet telematics, management software (FMS), route optimization, and compliance tools
Analytics/Reporting: Conduct total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses, benchmarking, and industry research Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, service enhancements, and cost savings.
Sourcing & Contracting: Lead end-to-end sourcing processes including RFPs, vendor selection, negotiation, and contracting. Draft and negotiate contract terms, service level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators (KPIs).Partner with Legal and Risk Management to ensure compliance with insurance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Supplier Relationship Management: Manage relationships with key suppliers (i.e.: FMC, OEMs, Dealers, fuel providers, and service networks). Monitor supplier performance and lead regular business reviews to drive continuous improvement. Resolve service delivery issues and support operational teams with escalations as needed.
Data & Performance Analysis: Track and analyze fleet spend, supplier performance metrics, and utilization trends. Provide reporting and insights to support strategic decision-making.
Regulatory Compliance: Remain abreast of state and federal regulations relative to Fleet
Change Management: Support corporate acquisition and BMACs relative identifying synergies, standardization of best practices, and strategic alignment of fleet.
Qualifications:
7+ years’ experience in Fleet Management or Operations.
5+ years leading a team.
Bachelor’s degree: Business, Supply Chain, or relevant focus preferred.
Travel up to 25%
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving ability with logical reasoning.
Strong customer service skills with ability to speak on the phone a large portion of the day.
Ability to multi-task.
