DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
The Regional Development team of United Way of Greater Atlanta plays a crucial role in enhancing the organization's presence, reputation, and impact across the 13 counties of the Greater Atlanta region. By engaging and uniting local stakeholders, the team aims to drive improvements for Child Well-Being (CWB) and address community issues in a customized, future-forward way. Regional Development is dedicated to building local relationships, increasing revenue, and ensuring that United Way is represented across the 13 counties, thereby expanding the organization's presence, improving our reputation and amplifying our impact.
JOB SUMMARY
Position Summary:
The Director of Corporate Relations (NW Region) is a full-time role responsible for cultivating and strengthening relationships with corporate partners across the Northwest Sub-Region, including Cobb, Cherokee, Douglas, North Fulton, and Paulding counties. This position plays a key role in advancing United Way of Greater Atlanta’s mission through strategic engagement, revenue generation, and partnership development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate relationships with decision-makers and C-suite leaders; steward a dynamic portfolio of 50 corporate partnerships to drive revenue, deepen engagement, and amplify impact.
- Achieve annual revenue targets as established by regional leadership.
- Develop, manage, and execute a comprehensive year-round engagement strategy aligned with UWGA’s mission, vision, and values.
- Conduct outreach through phone, email, and in-person meetings to advance partnership goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of activities and outcomes in UWGA’s CRM system, in accordance with internal policies.
- Foster collaboration across departments, particularly with colleagues in the Office of Development, to support shared goals and initiatives.
- Increase awareness and understanding of the Child Well-Being Movement among corporate partners, donors, and key stakeholders.
- Build and maintain a strong working knowledge of United Way’s funding priorities, initiatives, and partnership offerings.
- Demonstrate effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills to manage a high-volume workload with precision and attention to detail.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Director.
Qualifications and Ideal candidate
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education level required: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Years of service required: 3+ years in donor development, fundraising, sales, or similar field
- Experience needed:
- Demonstrated experience cultivating, soliciting, and securing gifts.
- Proven ability to create and execute successful strategic plans.
- Experience with CRM/database management.
- Auditing and projection management experience recommended.
- Communication skills:
- Superb written, presentation, persuasion, and listening skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to change and innovation.
- Programs and Tech needs:
- Experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
- Metrics required:
- Exceed yearly revenue and metric-driven goals (visits, solicitations, etc).
- Skills needed to be successful:
- Critical thinking, problem-solving ability, & excellent project management skills.
- Organization skills for a fast-paced work environment.
