Reporting to the ESG Lead you will be responsible for monitoring energy consumption data for our customers. The role will require you to provide the clients with insights as to their consumption patterns, identify alerts using analytical and modelling tools that provide them with deeply insightful data along with recommendations as to how this can be improved or possible causes. 

The role will require the Energy Analyst to be passionate about the energy sector and to further develop their data analysis capabilities to help support our growing portfolio of impressive household name clients.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract. 

What will you be doing?

  • Identifying and resolving consumption anomalies through pro-active data monitoring and effective communication with the client. 
  • Creating alerts and triggers that provide customers with a service that prevents additional expense and allowing them to budget more effectively.
  • Liaising with the Connected Buildings and Digital Enablement team to make sure the data available on the online energy management platform is correct and ready to use.
  • Providing the customers with support of the online energy management platform used.
  • Utilising aggregated customer data to find innovative solutions to complex consumption problems and provide recommendations to customers. 
  • Providing the customers with a summary report of all the alerts raised throughout the month and potential savings/cost avoidances.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with all stakeholders including clients, suppliers and other teams. 
  • Managing client’s consumption queries and providing ad hoc analysis on consumption.
  • Utilising your analytical skill to support the wider Net Zero team.
  • Supporting HH data creation for forecasting purposes.
  • Obtaining and collating meter invoice and profile data to support Senior ESG analysts for reporting purposes.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A passion for the energy sector, with an ability to focus this passion in a way to challenge and drive change in a high growth environment.
  • Stakeholder management and communication.
  • A propensity for action, comfort with change and a desire for continuous improvement. 
  • IT literate in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
