JOB DETAILS
The Operations Supervisor provides leadership and direct supervision of production associates engaged in manufacturing and processing products to meet customer needs while ensuring the safety, housekeeping, quality, shipments, and productivity targets are reached consistently.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Enforce all safety and health regulations and policies; investigate incidents, create reports, and implement corrective actions
- Train associates on safe equipment operation, setup procedures, and best practices
- Recommend and implement improvements to processes and procedures
- Assess staffing needs; participate in hiring and internal promotion decisions
- Prepare and maintain accurate production, labor, and MRP reports
- Ensure cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas
- Monitor production schedules and quality standards; communicate status between shifts
- Minimize downtime through proactive planning of equipment changeovers and material needs
- Ensure all processes are documented and employees are trained and cross-trained
- Supervise and support production associates and material handlers
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current and effective in the role
Preferred Requirements
- Familiarity with MRPII
- Knowledge of Composite Materials
Required Education / Experience / Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ Years previous experience in Plant and Operations Supervision
- Proven Supervisory Experience
- ISO Knowledge/ Experience
- Proficient verbal and written English communication skills
Level of Supervision
- Highly Autonomous
Supervisory Responsibility
- Production Associates, Material Handlers
Training and Development
- You are expected to participate in training and development activities throughout your employment with the company to ensure the excellence of the performance of your assigned duties.
Travel Requirements
- May be required to rotate shifts or work at other nearby facilities as required
