ABOUT THE FACILITIES DIVISION: 
The Facilities Division within the Parks and Recreation Services Branch is responsible for maintaining a vast network of public spaces, spanning more than 25 miles of boulevards and 465 parks. This includes 26 community centers, 8 indoor pools, 2 seasonal outdoor pools, 4 environmental education centers, 2 small-craft centers, 4 golf courses, and a large outdoor stadium.

Seattle Parks and Recreation Facilities Division is seeking a Senior Management Systems Analyst (Sr. MSA) to join our Facilities, Access, Automation, Security, and Technology (FAST) unit. This is a multi-disciplinary opportunity for a detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and systems-minded professional who thrives on cross-functional coordination, data management, and hands-on problem-solving.

This position requires someone who is highly adaptable, customer-focused, and comfortable with ambiguity. The ideal candidate can manage change effectively, respond quickly to emerging needs, and provide consistent, high-quality service to both internal and external partners.

The FAST team manages centralized systems that support security, safety, and operational efficiency across SPR’s diverse portfolio of facilities. The Sr. MSA plays a pivotal role in modernizing and maintaining both legacy and emerging technologies, supporting both operational continuity and innovation. This is a non-represented position.

We are currently recruiting for one (1) regular, benefited position on the Day Shift

Position Duties


  • Lead end-to-end project management for technology, facility systems, and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Coordinate and support implementation of security systems such as CCTV, access control, intercoms, and alarm technologies.
  • Design, build, and maintain Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Oversee legacy technology transitions in coordination with Seattle IT and other partners.
  • Develop dashboards, workflows, and documentation using Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Planner).
  • Troubleshoot and manage resolution of technical issues, coordinate with vendors for repair and support.
  • Support infrastructure improvements by leading or coordinating projects in collaboration with skilled trades (electrical, carpentry, HVAC, plumbing) or IT teams.
  • Track project scopes, timelines, budgets, procurement, and compliance.
  • Assist MSA Supervisor with site assessments, system analysis, and reporting; also provide support to Capital Projects Coordinators and Assistant Capital Projects Coordinators.
  • Clearly document processes and provide timely communication across FAST, Facilities, and other divisions.
  • Performs other related duties of a comparable level and type.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires three years of experience in systems, operations, procedures, research or analysis and a bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, finance, computer science or a related field (or a combination of education, training, or experience that provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class)


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

License, Certification, and Other Requirements

  • Current Washington State driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility.

 DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 3+ years with Power Apps or similar platforms.
  • 2+ years with Power BI and SharePoint Online or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps and Power Automate or similar platforms.
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite (Teams and Planner) or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, React, Angular, HTML, or Python.
  • Database experience (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, or Amazon RDS)
  • Experienced with the use of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or Visio for mapping and documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate or similar platforms, with a strong track record of developing dashboards, reports, and automated business solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively prioritize and schedule tasks, aligning them with departmental needs.
  • Maintains strong motivation and thrives in collaborative, fast-paced environment, working effectively with staff from various disciplines and vendors, while consistently meeting tight deadlines.
  • Experience working across IT, security, and facilities domains.
  • Demonstrated competence in maintaining clear, comprehensive written records, with strong technical writing and documentation skills. 
  • Exhibit a high level of proficiency in verbal communication to convey information effectively and professionally. 
  • Demonstrates strong organization, adaptability, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and coordinate technical issue resolution.

Work Environment/Physical Demands/Other:

  • Most work is performed in an office environment; occasional work at construction sites is required.
  • Required to work outdoors in all types of weather.
  • May work at heights on ladders.
  • May work near heavy equipment.
  • Required to work near energized equipment.
  • May work in confined spaces.

Other Qualifications

The full salary range for this position is $54.28 – $63.26 hourly.
