Position: 2nd shift - Cook 1 Hourly: $17.00 Per Hour Location: Resort Division Reports to: Sous Chef
In accordance with the Gaming Ordinance, all non-gaming employees whose annual income reaches $50,000 or more will be required to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and serving menu items according to recipes, ensuring consistent quality to exceed guest expectations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Demonstrate versatility by working in various kitchen stations.
- Complete opening and closing duties and assigned side work.
- Volunteer to support team members as needed.
- Learn to operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely.
- Foster positive relationships with guests and colleagues.
- Perform tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Clean coolers, freezers, and storage areas as directed.
- Assist with inventory management and rotation (FIFO).
- Familiarize yourself with facility layout and guest services.
- Aligning with the organization's goals and vision, contributing to team success.
- Participate in scheduled training sessions and evaluations.
- Flexibility to work at different venues as required.
- Adhere to workplace policies and regulations, including those related to gaming and safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Education:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- For full-time applicants aged 18 to 19, HSD or GED is required, or proof of current enrollment in an educational program.
- For applicants aged 16 to 17, enrollment proof in an educational program is necessary for flex employment.
- Preferably, one year of culinary experience and Serve Safe Food Handlers certification within three months.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment, cooking methods, and food safety.
- Competent knife skills and culinary knowledge.
- Familiarity with food products and preparation techniques.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to teamwork and positive guest interactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Compliance with pre-employment screenings and health standards.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to wear the designated uniform and work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Minimum age requirement of 16 years.
Work Conditions:
- Frequent standing, walking, talking, and hearing required.
- Frequent use of hands for handling, feeling, reaching, and grasping.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching may be necessary.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and depth perception.
- Evening and/or weekend work may be necessary, with extended hours and irregular shifts possible.
- Excellent personal hygiene is required due to working near others.
- The work environment is non-smoking, and dust and noise levels may vary depending on location and work area.
