Description
As the Sales Manager, you will lead and manage a high-performing sales team to achieve revenue and margin goals. You’ll be responsible for recruiting, training, and developing sales talent, while actively engaging in business development and community outreach. This role reports directly to the General Manager and plays a key role in shaping the success of our Des Moines branch.
Salary: $70,000-$80,000/year + Bonuses
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and manage the Des Moines sales team to exceed sales and gross margin targets
- Recruit, onboard, and develop sales representatives
- Ensure full utilization of the estimation platform and CRM tools
- Collaborate with management to grow customer relationships and strategic partnerships
- Participate in sales calls and provide ongoing feedback and support
- Conduct quarterly performance appraisals and create development plans
- Monitor sales growth and assess staffing needs
- Drive lead generation and strategic account planning
- Assist with proposals, negotiations, and client relationship management
- Partner with Operations to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to company standards
- Represent SEi in community events, networking groups, and local chambers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 3–5 years of sales management experience
- Previous experience in the security industry preferred
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
